The airlines of the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Bahrain are preparing for the restoration of the direct flights from Damascus, the director general of the Damascus airport, Shafa al-Nuri said.
According to her, the delegation of the Oman Air carrier visited the Damascus International Airport on January 10th and got acquainted with its technical condition in preparation for the resumption of flights, SANA reports.
Al-Nuri said that the Gulf Air company from Bahrain and Etihad from the United Arab Emirates turned to Damascus with a request to arrange a similar test. The director general indicated that these checks would also be held as part of ”the preparations for the resumption of flight connection with Damascus."
